About

Gauthier Thiry

Independent writer behind Home Robot Index.

I’m Gauthier Thiry, an independent writer who has been passionate about domestic robotics for years. I created Home Robot Index to follow the field through the lens of everyday life and help readers stay up to date. I’m interested in what a robot is designed to do, what a home asks of it and what ownership involves after the demonstration ends.

My approach

Product specifications, availability and prices should link to dated primary sources. Manufacturer claims are attributed, and hands-on testing is only claimed when it has actually been documented. Concepts, prototypes, demonstrations and available products must be distinguished. Comparisons should describe the household scenario and criteria. Images of real products must identify their source; conceptual illustrations are labelled. Paid relationships, if introduced, will be disclosed.
